On Thursday afternoon, we hosted a reception for the 28 Manchester School District educators who were nominated for Teacher of the Year this year. We are thankful for all of our educators and proud of these nominees – and we're all cheering on Memorial's Greg Parker, who is a finalist for the statewide honor.

Teacher of the Year is organized by the New Hampshire Department of Education, and the winner will be announced in the fall. Join us at National Night Out this Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Beech Street School/JFK Coliseum. Look for the Manchester School District table to learn more about our job opportunities, and get info on the importance of good attendance. There will be lots of free entertainment, activities (including the Bookmobile!) and plenty of helpful information for families – we hope to see you there!


☀️ Summer Learning Spotlight: Manchester School District's summer learning programs are now in full gear, so we've been highlighting the different offerings. Today, we look at the high school credit recovery program, which is an opportunity for students to catch up for any classes they may have failed during the year.

🔅 Summer Learning Spotlight: Manchester School District's summer learning programs are now in full gear, so over the next week, we'll be highlighting these awesome programs.
New this year, Blast Off to Kindergarten offers incoming kindergarten students a chance to learn about how school works before actually starting school.

Trying to keep cool and keep the kids busy too? Manchester, NH Parks & Recreation pools and splash pads are open daily (weather-permitting) at the following locations:

SCHEDULE UPDATE: Due to the weather forecast, Wellness on Wheels has been postponed to Thursday from 4-6 pm at Brookside Church, 2013 Elm St.
This FREE pop-up resource fair features fun activities, the Bookmobile, raffles and giveaways, and helpful information for families. We'll see you Thursday night for the free fun at Brookside Church!


All summer long, anyone 18 and younger can get free meals through the Summer Food Service Program, provided by Southern New Hampshire Services. High School Summer Credit Recovery begins on Tuesday, June 20. Students have been signed up for programming by their guidance counselor. Schedules for each of the four high schools can be found on the Summer Resources page on our website: https://www.mansd.org/page/summer-2023.

Attention families of 11th, 10th, 9th and 8th Graders ... 2023-2024 high school schedules are being sent home with students today (Wednesday). Along with the schedule, you'll receive a letter explaining how to handle schedule conflicts and request changes. You can read more here: https://www.mansd.org/article/1149248.

Program flyer: Registration is now open for Boys & Girls Club before- and after-school programs for the 2023-2024 school year. In addition to the main clubhouse on Union Street, the Boys & Girls Club operates on site at Jewett Street School and Highland-Goffe's Falls Elementary. Program flyer: FREE YMCA Safety Around Water Program geared toward 4th grade students at the YMCA of Downtown Manchester’s annual Rock the Block celebration on June 17. Swimmers will learn how to respond if they find themselves in unexpected water situations such as performing a reach assist, how to reach the water’s surface if they submerge, and safely reaching a pool’s edge and exiting the water. On Saturday, June 17, we celebrate the Class of 2023! Graduations for all four high schools will be held back-to-back at the SNHU Arena in downtown Manchester.
