On Saturday, the community turned out for the second CelebratED MHT in Veteran’s Memorial Park downtown. The event, which is organized by Manchester Proud and Manchester School District, brought together thousands of community members and dozens of our partner organizations for an all-day celebration of our schools.
Highlights included student musical performances and artwork, plus loads of activities, free food, books, and tickets to the Fisher Cats game that night. The park was bustling with activities and familiar faces, with loads of students, families, staff and community members enjoying the day.
This event could not have happened without the work of the dedicated volunteers on the planning committee. While they’re still wrapping up this year’s event, that planning group is already starting to work on next year’s event. Thank you, also, to all of the schools that participated, bringing bands, choruses and color guards to make the event special.
