Webster School Students Lead the Pledge of Allegiance

Thank you to Webster Wildcats Aniya, Jovhan, Elijah, Quinn, Finley, Jack and Jaden for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance at Monday’s meeting. As is customary, the students had a chance to meet Mayor Ruais and check out his office before the meeting, even sneaking in a practice run of the pledge.

Great work by the students, and thank you to Assistant Principal Canning for helping to coordinate.

Beech Street Teacher Recognized for Award

Our 1st recognition at Monday’s meeting was for Beech Street teacher Anna Balletta, who was named an Extraordinary Educator by Curriculum Associates. Mrs. Balletta is one of 32 to earn that recognition from across the nation. Read more about the award: https://mansd.org/article/1471882.

Central Jazz Band Honored After Performance

Our 2nd recognition was of the Central Jazz Band (which performed before the meeting) and won an Outstanding Performance Award at Clark Terry UNH Jazz Festival. The band also recently performed for the Executive Council. You can watch the performance: https://fb.watch/rkbMVK_TtV/.

Action Agenda Items

There are two items on the action agenda tonight: a request for a change to insurance offerings for non-affiliated District employees and a pilot program for hands-only CPR instruction with Manchester Fire Department. Both items are approved.

Consent Agenda Items

Next up is the consent agenda, which includes the curriculum for our new dual language immersion program, which is set to launch in the fall. All items are approved. Find all items in the agenda packet: https://5il.co/2hrgp
