MANCHESTER – This afternoon, current 11th, 10th, 9th and 8th Grade students will bring home a copy of their schedule for the 2023-2024 school year. Along with that schedule is a copy of the letter that is included at the bottom of this message. Please review the contents of that letter as you are looking over the schedule.

This is the earliest we have completed the scheduling process, meeting our goal of having schedules in students' hands before they leave for the summer. As is noted below, some schedules will need adjustments – if there is a conflict in your student's schedule, all high schools will be posting a link to request schedule changes.

Our staff have been working hard to complete this and will continue to work into the summer. We appreciate your patience as we continue this process.

Letter sent home Wednesday, June 14, with schedules:

Dear Students and Parents,

We would like to provide you with details regarding the scheduling process for the 2023-2024 school year. The scheduling for Central, Memorial, West, and Manchester School of Technology (MST) high schools and the MST CTE center has been completed. Attached is your child's schedule for the 2023-2024 school year. However, it is important to understand that these schedules are still in a “raw” format and require further adjustments to ensure a solid and complete schedule for each student.

Please take note of the following points:

  1. Advisories: The assignment of advisories will be done manually and will not be indicated on the printed schedule. This is a task that will be completed separately over the summer.

  2. Schedule conflicts: At this time, schedule conflicts have not been resolved. Resolving these conflicts will be an ongoing process throughout the summer months. Please visit your school's website for information on how conflicts will be resolved.

  3. Study halls, early releases, and late arrivals: Study halls, early releases, and late arrivals in the schedules will be done once all conflicts have been resolved.

Our team is committed to finalizing the schedules and addressing any issues or concerns that may arise. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work towards providing a comprehensive and accurate schedule for each student. All scheduling conflicts will be resolved throughout the summer. If your child has a scheduling conflict, please visit your school's website to complete a scheduling conflict form.

Thank you for your cooperation throughout this process. We wish you a wonderful summer break and look forward to a successful 2023-2024 school year.

Sincerely,

Amy Allen, Assistant Superintendent
