students participated in The Summer Experience program during summer 2022

The end of the school year is coming up quickly, and our District staff (and many of our community partners) have been making big plans for summer programs. In addition to the Summer Experience enrichment program and Extended School Year, we are rolling out a new program, Blast off to Kindergarten, which is focused on preparing incoming kindergarten students to start their school careers. Below is a quick look at our summer programs, but you can find a full listing of our programs, as well as our community partner’s offerings, at www.mansd.org/page/summer-2023.

The Summer Experience: Open to all elementary and middle school students and free of charge. This program runs weekdays from July 5-July 28. The program offers extra opportunities for learning and enrichment to ensure they’re ready for success in the fall. You can read more details and find the application at www.mansd.org/page/summer-experience.

Blast off to Kindergarten: Open to all students entering kindergarten this fall in Manchester School District and free of charge. This program will have two sessions at multiple locations: session 1 will run from July 5-14 and session 2 will run from July 17-28. The program will help prepare your student for the school experience. Students must be enrolled in kindergarten by June 1 in order to be eligible to participate. Registration information coming soon.

Extended School Year: Open to students who receive special education services in Manchester School District in pre-kindergarten up through high school. The program runs from July 5-28. Families of eligible students will receive registration information for this program.

Manchester School of Technology CTE Summer Camp: Open to Manchester School District students in Grades 6 and 7 and free of charge. This program runs from June 26-29. This fun, project-based camp will give students a glimpse of the career and technical education programs available at MST. You can find more information and apply at mst.mansd.org/article/1066524.
