The Summer Experience!

Summer Experience 2024

We are excited to start registration for the 2024 Summer Experience! This Summer Program is put on through a partnership between the 21st Century Program and the Summer Learning Academy. The goal of our summer program is to provide students with an opportunity for four extra weeks of learning and enrichment! Students will build and reinforce academic skills (literacy, mathematics and more) to ensure they are ready for success this fall.

Registration forms are below and must be turned into your schools 21st Century Site Coordinator.

How much will it cost?

The summer program is free!

Example Day (subject to change)

  • 8:15-8:45 – Breakfast

  • 8:45-10:30 – Academic Growth: Literacy/Math/Social-Emotional Learning

  • 10:30-11:30 – Recess / Lunch

  • 11:30-1:00 – Enrichment Activities / Exploration

Locations and Transportation

Currently the following locations will be used for the summer program (subject to change):

  • Bakersville: Students from Bakersville, Highland-Goffe's Falls, Green Acres, and Jewett

  • Northwest: Students from Northwest & Gossler

  • Parker-Varney: Students from Parker-Varney, Beech Street, McDonough, and Wilson

  • Webster: Students from Webster, Smyth Road, and Weston 

  • Memorial: All Middle School students from Hillside, McLaughlin, Parkside and Southside

Bus Transportation Information

Bus transportation will be provided to and from home schools and summer sites. Student must have their student IDs to ride the bus. Additional stops will be offered as well!

In the event that you need to pick up your child early, please contact the program Site Coordinator for your student.

A valid photo ID is required at the time of pick up.
