August 2018

The 2018-2019 academic year is about to begin, and along with all of our educators and staff in the school district, I am excited for what’s ahead. Great things are happening in our schools, and I strongly believe Manchester has what it takes to be one of the best districts in the state, region and country.

While the complexities of 21st century learning increase, it becomes more critical that we all work together to ensure success for all our students. We believe it is everyone’s responsibility to empower children with the skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible. Our school district is fortunate to have the support of community partners in various capacities.

I hope you will continue to support your student’s success in school by making sure he/she attends school each and every day, reinforcing the importance of good behavior at home, in school and within the community, and encouraging them to read for at least 30 minutes every evening and on weekends independent of homework assignments.

Our schools welcome your engagement and involvement in your child’s education. Get to know us better through the opportunities provided to attend school events and join parent groups. A big part of our achievement is based on the strong relationships we build with the families of our district.

Please accept my best wishes to all students, parents and school district employees for a successful school year filled with many excellent opportunities.
