2nd Annual Talent Show
The school talent show was once again a huge success. Congratulations to all the students who participated and to the masterminds behind the show- Miss Santarelli, and Ms. LaCascia. We'd also like to thank all of the staff and parents who helped make this show possible. Look for a broadcast on Manchester Community TV.
Ballroom Dancing
During the month of March we will once again have an artist-in-residence program with the
Royal Palace Ballroom of Manchester. From March 8-12, students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will receive professional
dance lessons from our guest teacher, Jeremiah Trost. Students in grades K-2 will also receive dance instruction
as part of the Music and Physical Education curriculum.
On Wednesday, March 10th we will have and adult
ballroom dance lesson night at Weston. This is for adults only, no children will be admitted. The cost is
$5.00 per person and it will be from 6:30-7:30PM in the gym.
Our final Ballroom Dance event will be the
Second Annual Weston Gala. On Friday March 26th, please join us in the Weston gym for a night of dancing with
music provided once again by the Windham Community Swing Band.
Girls On The Run Spring 2010
The spring session of Girls on the Run will be starting shortly. Girls on the Run is a curriculum based, after school program that utilizes the power of running to provide girls the tools to celebrate their bodies, honor their voices, recognize their gifts and activate their power! This program is for 3rd-5th grade girls of ALL fitness and ability levels. The only requirement is to believe in GIRL POWER. This program operates at many locations in New Hampshire and we have one group that meets after school at Weston. Please be aware that space is limited and their is a cost. Interested students need to visit the Girls on the Run website at www.girlsontherunnh.org for a complete listing of sites and registration information.
