Welcome to the Weston Library Page
Betsy Corradino is the Weston Elementary School Library Media Specialist, and the library assistant is Diane Roush. After spending 7 years at Weston as the music teacher, Miss Corradino is excited to be in the Library. The library has seen many changes this year including the automation of our circulation system.
The library at Weston school contains a collection of books, magazines, and videos for student and teacher use. All students in full-day kindergarten through fifth grade visit the library on a weekly basis. During their library time, students receive instruction in library and information skills through a curriculum based on classroom curriculum goals and objectives. It is the mission of the Weston School Library to promote information literacy skills in all students.
During their weekly library class, student also have the opportunity to select books for check-out. Books can be checked out from the library for a period of one week. Students in grades 3-5 have the privilege of taking their checked-out books home, while students in grades K-2 are asked to keep their books at school. When a book is not returned to the library on time, students receive an overdue notice with a request for return of the item or payment of a replacement cost.
