Mrs. McGilvray's Class News

In the area of writing we have been busy working on compare and contrast. Mrs. Favreau has taught the students how to write a lead, organize information through the use of graphic organizers, and how to write a strong conclusion. She also stresses the importance of descriptive language.

In the area of Science we have started our unit on Weather. We will be having a vocabulary quiz on Monday, February 4th. We have also had the opportunity to have the Amoskeag Fishways present : Birds, Mammals and Reptiles in Our City. The students have enjoyed having Ms. Brown come to the class to provide hands on activities.

Please continue to help your child at home by having them complete all homework assignments, long term projects and to study for tests and quizzes. Please e-mail me any questions or concerns that you might have. I try to read my e-mail on a daily basis. Change of patrol or other time sensitive material should be written in a note and sent to school with your child.
