Weston's Late Check-in Policy
We are very pleased with the improvement we saw in student tardiness in the second half of the last school year. Students and classrooms took great pride and responsibility in participating in the attendance program. Remember, it is not our expectation that we all have perfect attendance that is not realistic. We all get sick and need to stay home. What we hope to achieve is an increased awareness of how important school attendance is and to eliminate tardiness. With that in mind we would like to remind families of the check-in policy for students who are tardy.
The final morning bell rings at 8:35AM. All students who arrive to school late must be signed in by a parent or the adult who brought them to school. There will be a sign-in book on the counter in the office. If a child comes into school late without a parent, the parent will be called to come sign them in. The student will wait in the office until the parent returns.
Students must be in their classrooms, in their seats at 8:35; after that they are considered late. Remember, the playground is open and supervised at 8:05 for student drop off.
