21 st Century Community Learning Center
Southside Middle School
The Manchester School District has been awarded a five year grant from the New Hampshire Dept. of Education to establish the 21 st Century Community Learning Centers at nine Manchester schools. The aim of this program is to provide affordable, safe, and secure academic after-school programming that incorporates the arts into a variety of hands-on, high interest activities that complement regular school activities and reinforce the classroom experience.
Your child can choose from a number of classes being offered throughout the year, we will have 4 sessions lasting approx. 8 weeks. He/She can sign up for as many classes as they wish. Classes however are on a first come, first serve basis and may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Most courses offer limited attendance.
The form for registration is available in the office at Southside Middle School. You can contact Ann Marie Hetzel with any questions you may have at 624-6359. Session 1 starts at the beginning of the school year.

Come join the fun on October 16th for the National Lights On After school Celebration! It will be held at The Acting Loft (516 Pine Street, Manchester, NH). Come and experience first-hand the fantastic activities the 21st Century Community Learning Center programs provide for Manchester’s youth. Bring the whole family for a fun night filled with games, refreshments, and entertainment! Come show your support for after school programs.

"BE A MEMBER OF THE WOLVES' PACK FOR A DAY!"
21 CCLC at Southside Middle School will pick one lucky student to take a Manchester Wolves player to school in March of 2009! Your Wolves Football player will do exactly what you do in school! Go to lunch, recess, math, and everything else too! There will be one Grand Prize winner. One name will be pulled from a raffle and that student will "Be a Member of the Wolves' Pack for a Day!" The selected winner will also win a family four pack to a Manchester Wolves game!!! All eleven 21 CCLC schools will take their Manchester Wolves player to school during the same week in March and will all attend the same game together.
Just A Note:
The 21St Century Program has hooked up with Shaw’s Supermarkets for cash. For every receipt we give them they will pay us 1% of the total amount (excluding cigarettes and alcohol). If anyone shops at Shaw’s please donate your receipts, Mrs. Hetzel in room G13A.
