ÔSchool House to the White HouseÕ

NEA Program To Bring Bill Richardson to Smyth Road School; Speech at West High School To Follow

 

Who:              New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson, candidate for president

 

What:             will participate in the National Education AssociationÕs ÒSchool House to the White HouseÓ       program and will deliver a major policy address on educational issues

 

When and      THURSDAY, October 11, 2007

Where:          

8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. - Smyth Road School, 254 Bruce Road

Gov. Richardson will visit first and second grade classrooms as part of the NEA program

                                                                       

                        Noon to 1 p.m. Ð West High School, 9 Notre Dame Avenue

                        Gov. Richardson will delivery a major policy address about educational issues

 

                        (An RSVP to jblanchard@richardsonforpresident.com is required of all media outlets to comport with school security regulations.)

 

Background: ÒFrom the School House to the White House,Ó is an initiative of the National Education Association.  The program is designed to give presidential candidates the opportunity to visit the nationÕs classrooms and talk with teachers, students, parents, and administrators about issues facing schools.

 

                        The Manchester School DistrictÕs participation in the program does not constitute an endorsement of any candidate or political platform.
