The Board of School Committee will meet Saturday, March 15 to consider the
choice of a new superintendent of schools.
The committee will conduct individual, hour-long interviews with the three
finalists for the position beginning at 10 a.m. The board expects to
begin deliberating about its selection at 1 p.m. The interview and
deliberations will take place in non-public session.
Any vote to confirm a candidate will take place in public, but the board
cannot anticipate at what time such a vote might take place.
Members of the public and the media may await any announcement in the
foyer of the district offices at 286 Commercial Street.
The finalists for the position are Dr. Tom Brennan, superintendent of the
Kearsarge Regional School District; Dr. Aquine Jackson, chief academic
officer of the Milwaulee School District; and Dr. Herbert Levine, former
superintendent of the Salem (Mass.) School District
