CarolAnn Gregorious has been awarded the New Hampshire Council of Teachers of English Distinguished Career Achievement Award. Gregorious has chaired the English department at Memorial High School for over 20 years. She has taught in the Manchester school system for over 30 years.
The award recognizes exceptional career service and achievement in the field of English instruction and has been presented only three times in the organization’s 25 year history, according to Mary Fosher, chair of council’s awards committee.
“It has been a privilege and a joy to be a teacher, and I am truly grateful for this award. I am more grateful for the opportunity I have had over the years to work with so many wonderful teachers and students who have enriched my career and my life,” Gregorious said.
“We are very proud of CarolAnn. This award comes as no surprise to those who have worked with her over the years. She is a great teacher who truly deserves this recognition,” said Memorial principal Arthur Adamakos, who nominated Gregorious for the honor.
