Projects may be completed by an individual or with a partner,
NO group efforts.
Exhibits MUST be the size of one or two desks at school and
free standing. This rule must be strictly followed. Space for
projects in the classroom, city final and state final is limited
because of the number of students competing.
Exhibits MUST have a title visible for the judges including
the assigned exhibit number.
Projects CANNOT include live animals, this includes fish. Or
deal with harming or dissecting animals.
Other people such as parents and guardians can help with the
project, BUT the student must do the work. Parents and guardians
are welcome to all fairs, but MUST not interfere with the
judging.
All exhibits must include a bibliography of at least TWO
sources. A source can be anything or anyone used to gather
information.
Projects CANNOT use electricity, an open flame, poisons,
hazardous or corrosive chemicals, or exploding items. Battery
operated power will be acceptable.
Parent and Guardian signature are needed on the appropriate
form for students to participate. Students may be photographed
during the event.
Projects must be set up at least 15 minutes before judging is
to start.
A one page report is required on your project explaining the
project and what you have learned.
Projects should be created from supplies found at home, at
school, or outside. A project does not have to be expensive or
elaborate to win.
Most important of all, we want you to have FUN!!!!The judges
will score projects on effort, creativity, presentation, and
knowledge.Remember, understanding your project counts the most
with the judges. The more that you know about your project and your
ability to explain it clearly, the higher your score will be.
