The Assistant Principal's Corner

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Parker-Varney School continues to be such an exciting school with many wonderful students and a dedicated staff. One of our big undertakings this year is the "Wee Deliver Program." I am delighted to report that it has been an overwhelming success. Three times a week our postal workers meet in the Parent Center to process mail and make sure that letters gets to the correct street address. Our students are putting their writing skills to work daily, and with the installation of the "Wee Deliver" parent mailbox outside of the main office, parents are dropping off letters written to their child(ren), as well. If you have a moment, please consider writing a letter to your child, sending a card or even a short note. Our postmaster will be sure that it gets to the right street no matter what the weather is.
I am also pleased to announce that Parker-Varney School is once again the recipient of a five hundred dollar ($500) grant from the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance. These funds will be used in the areas of math and science.

Our Parent Center is always open for you to have lunch with your child(ren). Please
call and make an appointment with Mrs. Stone.

As always, if you have any questions please feel free to call me at any time.

Jody Coughlin
