POPCORN

Volunteers are needed to pop popcorn for our students every Thursday morning. Three times a month, twice a month, whatever time you can volunteer would be greatly appreciated!
We would like to have 5th grade parent volunteers through November, 4th grade parents in December, 3rd grade parents in January, 2nd grade parents in February, 1st grade parents in March - from approximately 8-10:30.

SPIRIT SHOP Volunteers are needed on Thursday mornings from 8:00-9:00 to man our school "Spirit Shop."
HANNAFORD

Selected Hannaford Grocery items help earn the school extra dollars. These slips are given to you when you are cashing out. Be sure to ask at your local Hannaford when you're shopping ! Selected Stop & Shop grocery stories A+ Bonus Bucks can be earned for Northwest each month from now until Ap.ril 5, 2008 When you go to Stop & Shop, be sure to fill out the designated card to help star earning dollars for our school while you shop. CAMPBELL SOUP LABELS Everyone can do their part to help by saving the UPC’s from participating Campbell soup products.Clip your UPC’s off participating Campbell Soup labels and send them in to the office at anytime.  Currently we have parents who are counting and clipping UPC’s but you can help make their job easier by bundling your Campbell Soup UPC’s in piles of 50 with an elastic.  Please note:  UPC’s that are worth 5 points and should be kept separately from those worth 1 point.  www.labelsforeducation.com/howToClipUPCs.aspx
TEACHER'S HELPER
Teachers need help running off papers, cutting & coloring things at home. Please let your childs' teacher(s) know if you're interested in helping. Even a few hours a week goes a long way!
BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION Everyone can do their part to help by clipping the Box Tops For Education Dimes from participating General Mills products and sending them in to school with your child. We receive between ten and thirty cents for each one that we collect! Currently we have parents who are counting and cutting Box Tops but you can help make their job easier by bundling your box tops in piles of 50 with an elastic and/or putting them in Ziploc baggies.  Send them into the school office with your son/daughter at anytimeAs of the end of January, 2007 our school received $587.10 for Box tops for Education! HOOD SOX TOPS

Look for specially marked caps on Hood LightBlock Bottles and start earning the school .05 per cap!  We will be collecting caps between now and May, but don’t stop then! Keep on saving them throughout the summer and when your child returns to school in the fall, send them in! **The school with the most Sox Tops Collected wins a visit from the Boston Red Sox! CAN TABS

Collect soda can tabs (tab off the top of a soda can) and send them in to school. These tabs are collected and sent to the Shriners Hospitals, who then turn them in for cash. The money received from this goes to purchasing supplies and equipment for children in need. Over 3 million dollars was collected last year just from recycling soda can tabs!
RECYCLING INK CARTRIDGES Staples will pay us $3 for recycling empty ink cartridges. They're eligible for our recycling program because they can be refilled and reused. But to benefit the environment to the fullest extent, please send us every cartridge you collect. We recycle ineligible cartridges for plastic and metal content.*Please save and send your empty ink cartridges to the Library Media Center on the 3rd floor. Tell your friends, neighbors and local businesses to save for the environment and to help support the Northwest Media Center!
