You will actually build two houses during the two years in this MST program while developing the skills needed to become a successful building framer or contractor or to one day build your own home. Everything you learn can be applied to your own needs- a garage, a deck or an additional room on your house. You will know how to do it. There will always be a need for carpentry, whether it’s building a structure or doing the finish work inside. This course gives you the experience you will need to be hired as a carpenter when you graduate. If you’re planning to go on to a techical school or college, this program will provide you with skills that can lead to profitable employment during your summer vacations.
To enroll, students must be at least 16 years old by November 1, 2008.
