Students in the Electrical Technology program learn the fundamentals
of electrical circuitry and the laws that govern electricity. The course
includes electrical theory, electrical building code, safety practices
and installation techniques. The program is unique because of its Lab-Volt
Motor Control Center which assists in learning the operation of electric
motors, generators and their controls.
Upon graduation, job opportunities include: electrical apprentice,
journeyman electricians, construction electricians, appliance repair electricians,
commercial electricians, residential electricians, electrical manufacturing,
electrical supply co-workers, communication/data wiring and equipment installer.
To enroll, students must be 16 years old by November 1, 2008.
Mandatory $15.00 Electrical Apprenticship License fee.
