About Our School
In the event of a snow delay: On a delayed day due to inclement weather at 9:35 teachers will bring students into the gym. At 9:50 school begins, students will be marked late starting at 10:05.
HOURS OF OPERATION:
8:05 AM Staff on duty on playground and students having breakfast are admitted to the cafeteria.
8:20 AM First Bell: students are admitted to their classrooms, cafeteria closes.
8:35 AM Last Bell: Teaching begins - students who are late must report to the main office for a late pass.
2:25 PM Dismissal: Kindergarten students only
2:35 PM All bus and van students are dismissed to the cafeteria. All students walking or getting a ride are dismissed onto the playground. Students who are not picked up promptly will be returned to the office by their teacher. Older students whose rides are not prompt are to return to the office.
ABSENCES: If your child will be absent from school you need to notify the office so that a phone call is not made to your home. This can be done at any hour as the Office has an answering machine. When your child returns to school, you should send in a note to the teacher explaining the absence.
EARLY DISMISSALS: If your child needs to be dismissed during the school day, you need to send a note to the teacher with your child in the morning. All students are dismissed directly from the school office during the school day. Your child will be called to the Office when you arrive to sign your child out of school. Please allow yourself enough time for this as students will not be called down to the office to wait for their parents.
CHANGE OF DISMISSAL PROCEDURE: Your child will be dismissed from school each day in accordance with the directions we receive from you on the back of the white Office Emergency Form. If there is a permanent change in the way your student will be going home, please notify the Office in writing. If there will be a temporary change or change for just one day you will need to send a note to your child's teacher. Without written instructions of a change from the parent/guardian, your child will be dismissed according to his/her Emergency Form. ONLY IN THE CASE OF AN EMERGENCY OR LAST MINUTE CHANGE OF PLANS SHOULD THE OFFICE BE CALLED WITH THIS INFORMATION. Any calls to the office should be received well before dismissal time to allow the information to get to the students in a timely fashion.
