Millions Mix It Up at Lunch
Last November, an estimated four million students in 10,000 schools participated in the sixth annual Mix It Up at Lunch Day. Hallsville's third, forth and fifth grade students participated amongst the millions of other students throughout the country. We not only mixed up the students but we mixed up our seating arrangement for a more conducive environment to meet and speak to new students. The students were given a conversation starter as well as a color strip in order to find their new tables. Many staff members attended to help out as well as organizers Mrs. Bell (School Counselor) and Mrs. Varney (Behavior Specialist). We heard nothing but positive feedback from many students as well as requests for this to happen more often. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all that participated and would like to applaud the students for their cooperation and participation in this program.
