What’s Happening
May, 2008
*Friday the 2nd - TIGER visits Green Acres. This is a program out of Plymouth State University that performs a series of skits designed to entertain but more importantly point out to students the harmful effects that bullying can have on people.
*Monday the 5th thru Friday the 9th - Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you teachers for all that you do on a daily basis !
*Tuesday the 6th - Progress reports for the final trimester will be sent home. Please contact the school should you have any concerns.
*Wednesday the 7th - Our grade 4 students will visit the Audubon Society to see the Water Festival.
*Friday the 9th - Grade 5 students will participate in our annual grade 5 Walk a Thon.This healthy activity will raise funds to help pay for the end of the year activities for our graduating 5th graders.
*Monday the 12th thru Friday the 16th - Volunteer Appreciation Week.
*Wednesday the 14th - If you are one of our wonderful volunteers here at
Green Acres, please stop by for an informal breakfast and be recognized for the great work you do.
*Thursday the 15th - Our 2nd grade students will host a Grandparents Tea / Reading Party. Please watch for details coming home for this very special event.
*Friday the 16th - Join us for a delicious and fun evening. Our PTG will be sponsoring our Annual Ice Cream Social. Details will be coming home soon detailing this exciting event.
*Friday the 23rd - Mrs. Boutin will lead the school in it’s annual Memorial Day Program. Because of crowds, parking and traffic concerns, we will once again have three separate performances. Please watch for announcements regarding the times for your son/daughter. We ask that you not arrive any earlier than 15 minutes prior to the beginning of your scheduled time.
*Monday the 26th - No School (Memorial Day)
*Wednesday the 28th - A group of students from Parkside Middle School will present a program to our 5th grade students dealing with life at the Middle School.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
All 4th grade students will be participating in the NECAP Science Test during the week of May 12 th - 16th. Please make every effort to have your child in school, on time and well rested. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
