Welcome and Introductions

By-Laws & Voting/Operating Procedures:  First vote will be held in October

Treasurers’ Report  – All o.k.  Will be seeking volunteers for Audit report ’06-‘07

OLD BUSINESS:

    • Money allocations

       NEW BUSINESS:

    • Current Volunteer Opportunities (attached)
    • Nurse’s Needs:  boys and girls outer pants (sizes 8-12)

        ANNOUNCEMENTS:

  • Participating Programs are as follows:  Aluminum Tabs (ongoing), Boxtops for Education (ongoing), Campbell’s Labels (ongoing), Hoods Sox Tops for Kids (May/Oct 16th), Hannaford Receipts (Sept./Dec.), Ink Jet Cartridges (ongoing), Stop & Shop (BonusBucks) (Sept./June).  Please send whatever program items you have collected into school with your child.
  • Child & Family Services Announcements were passed out during the meeting.  See Denise Burton with any further questions.

        COMMITTEE REPORTS:

  • The Ice Cream Social, which was held in May, produced an outcome of $1,272.  $600 of that total came from raffles and the remaining was profit.
  • Fall Fundraiser forms will be due back to school on October 6th.
  • Fall Family Picnic will be held on September 29th.  Volunteers should contact Lisa Reynolds or Carrie Beckwith.
  • Popcorn volunteers will be contacted.  No popcorn will be available on early release days.
  • Spirit Shop will be opening at the Fall Family Picnic and will open in the gym on Friday, October 6th at 8 am.
  • Young Authors:  Volunteers are needed to make covers.  Please contact Sue Trudel for supplies.

        OTHER:

  • Volunteer Coordinator – Green Acres will be awarded the Blue Ribbon award on September 27th.
  • Teacher Representative – Mrs. Kalaski – teachers very appreciative of allocations.
  • Administration – Mr. Norton welcomed new faces.  Thanked Dan and Lydia on a job well done for opening day.  Construction on our library will be happening this year to enclose the space for a more private atmosphere.  NECAP Testing will be held this year on October 2-6 for grade 3 and on October 16-20 for grades 4-5.  Noted that if any notices that have been sent home and parents did not receive them but heard they went out to please log on to our school website.
