Guidance

I have enjoyed my work as the school counselor at Green Acres for several years now. I have a Master’s Degree in Guidance and Counseling and my previous experience includes being a social worker in the Manchester School System.

     I work with a wonderful staff of professional educators.  Together, we strive to nurture every Green Acres Student in reaching his/her full social, emotional and academic potential.

     Guidance and Counseling services at Green Acres include:

-Individual counseling

- Small group counseling   (ex. divorce/family changes; grief and loss)                           

-Classroom guidance activities

-Consultation to staff and parents

-Referrals as needed to appropriate area resources

 -Crisis Intervention

-Parenting workshops/ Parenting education

-Academic testing/Readiness placement

     I also act as the coordinator/advisor for the Peer Mediation Program which is a district-wide initiative.  In this role I coordinate the training and support of our fifth grade student mediators.
