These memorials are dedicated to the memory
of Central students who have given their lives
in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam
conflict. The World War II memorial was
dedicated on May 30, 1947. The Korean and
Vietnam memorials were dedicated on May 30,
1996, presented as gifts of the Class of 1996
and Friends of Manchester High School Central.
Each year on Memorial Day a wreath is laid in
honor of these former Central students.

The Central Courtyard is a single level,
handicap access area located in front of the Classical, Practical Arts, and the new Burns buildings. It has
benches where students gather before and after school. During
their lunch, students are allowed to use the
courtyard. Concerts, pep rallies, fairs, and
memorial assemblies all have taken place on the
Little Green Courtyard. The Courtyard is also
where the Lincoln Statue is located.
