In the Fall of 2004, the Manchester School District (MSD) was awarded a five year grant from the Department of Education to establish 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) at nine Manchester schools. The aim of the program is to provide affordable, safe and secure after school and summer programming that incorporates the arts into a variety of hands-on, high interest activities that complement regular school activities and reinforce the classroom experience.
In 2006, the MSD was awarded additional funding to establish two new sites. Our goal is to increase students' academic achievement by inspiring learning through the arts.
The program operates Monday - Friday, 2:30pm - 5:30pm and follows the academic calendar. |
