Started by volunteer, Benjie Lebow, and continued by his wife, Benita Lebow, the Unicycle team began in 2001. Over 60 students in grades two through five have had a chance to try unicycling as an after school and summer school activity. This program teaches self confidence, physical fitness, strength and balance, sportsmanship, teamwork and responsibility. All team members give back to the club by instructing younger, beginner students during the summer session.

The year long practices allow the children to master riding the unicycle and learn advanced skills such as bouncing basketballs, riding in special formations, and doing ramp tricks. This team performs in school assemblies, and city parades.

Weekly practices are on Wednesday afternoons. Practice is held in the gym and outside as weather permits. Safety helmets and gloves are worn by all children.
