JUMPSTARTS

The Jump Starts Jump Rope Team, under the direction of Title 1 Supervisor Mrs. Conway and Miss Lafond (grade 3) emphasizes team work, physical fitness, commitment, self-esteem, school spirit, and most of all pride. From September through May, members of this team meet weekly, before school, on Wednesdays to practice performance routines.

The group was first organized in 1999 and in this short time they have performed at the following locations: half-time at St. A's basketball games, The Magical Evening of Giving at the Mall of NH, Manchester Memorial Day Parade, and many local schools.

The Jump Starts have attended the Annual Jamboree Workshop and Competition in North Conway, NH.

When it comes to fitness and skill, the Beech Street School Jump Starts surely

"Jump for Joy!"
