ADVENTURE
PROGRAM
5th grade students at Beech Street School
meet with instructors from the Daniel Webster Boy Scout Council, to participate
in what is known as The Adventure Program.
The Outdoor Education and Outreach Division
of Daniel Webster Boy Scout Council is working with these students
through the Governor's Safe and Drug Free Schools program to provide
high adventure opportunities and adventure-based counseling.
Weekly meetings provide students the
opportunity to develop personal responsibility, increase self
confidence, and develop leadership and problem solving skills. Once a
month, the group goes on a full day adventure field trip
participating in activities such as, rock climbing, hiking,
cross-country skiing, or kayaking.
